Metabolism is the buzz word in health , weight loss and the fitness world, yet as a result, the effects of metabolism boosting foods and drinks often get played up to not so realistic expectations. Morning Metabolism Boost Drink

Here’s a zingy recipe that I love to make to help rev me and my metabolism up. Made with lemon and apple cider vinegar, ginger, cinnamon and a pinch of cayenne pepper. I like to have this bad boy when I wake up, 10 – 15 minutes before breakfast.

INGREDIENTS
• 1 small knob of ginger (about the size of your thumb)
• 4 cups filtered water
• 1 stick cinnamon
• 1/2 lemon , juiced
• 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
• pinch cayenne to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Chop or slice your ginger and add to water jug. Pour the water in and add the cinnamon stick. Place in fridge to steep overnight.
2. In the morning, add the juice of 1/2 lemon to a juice cup. Add apple vinegar and 1 glass of your infused water. You can add more water if the ginger is too strong for you. Add a pinch cayenne and enjoy all of the benefits!
